Coming soon to a hand-held theater near you

Much to the dismay of most movie directors, mobile screens today are turning into our main movie-watching screens. Customers want a big-budget film feeling to fit within a handheld device and manufacturers are giving them what they want. For example, The Razer Phone, created by Razer, best known for building gaming laptops and peripherals, is one of the most exciting phones to come out in 2017 and is built with some great innovations for delivering an incredible watching experience.

Razer uses a Quad HD display that produces an incredibly-wide color gamut which makes everything look vibrant and sharp. The 120 Hz UltraMotion screen allows people to also enjoy fluid and blurless action scenes.

Dolby Atmos and THX-certified audio power the sound technology on the phone, while Razer has added two front-firing speakers and dual amplifiers to completely engulf you in sound.

Now that your phone is tricked-out for films, where do you start on deciding what to watch? That’s easy, Razer has partnered with Netflix to give users an unparalleled mobile Netflix experience. The Razer Phone is now the first smartphone to support both Netflix HDR and 5.1 surround sound, making it the best possible way to experience every gripping moment from Stranger Things or Bright while on-the-go.

People also want to watch anything they want, anywhere they are, but connectivity and the cloud are not always available. Now, Netflix does have a solution for this. Subscribers can download content to their mobile devices so when they don’t have connectivity they can enjoy their favorite movie or show.

But, the Razer Phone, just like any other phone, comes with a limited amount of memory. After your phone fills up with selfies and videos of being goofy at Taco Bell, downloading a season of Altered Carbon or several movies for the trip that you are taking might prove difficult. To access those movies without taking up space on your phone you might need a unique device like LINK.

LINK is a powerful, ultra-portable computer that uses all of your devices like peripherals. With 2TB of memory, you can download and store all of your movies and shows. Then wirelessly stream to any screen you want (like the unbelievable 120 Hz UltraMotion screen on the Razer Phone).

Just to give you an idea of how big 2TB of storage is, assuming each movie is roughly 120 minutes long, you could stream and watch up to 500 movies on one LINK.

That would save a lot of room on your phone and would take binge-watching to a whole new level.

  1. Wow, didn’t even know about all the possibilities you describe here. Seems interesting although I’m usually not one of the first ones to try something new^^

  2. I’m often amazed at the technological advancements in use today. How did we spend our time before the cell phones took consumed our lives? I use my cell for the basics, calling, texting and emergencies. I don’t have a clue about how to watch a movie on my iPhone. I need to catch up with the times.

  3. I didn’t know Razor phones were still a thing. Good for them finding a way to stay relevant and working with Netflix on this.
